Parking in Cesenatico near the beach: Zadina area guide

First-time visitors to Cesenatico often worry about parking. Understandably: in August the roads along the Romagna coast fill up, and searching for a spot in the heat with your luggage is not the best way to start a holiday. But the Zadina area has different characteristics from the centre — and that applies to parking too.

Zadina vs Cesenatico centre: why it's different

The historic centre of Cesenatico, with the Leonardesque Canal Port and the pedestrian seafront, activates the seasonal ZTL (traffic restricted zone) from June to September. Cars are diverted to peripheral car parks with shuttle buses. In Zadina — the northern part of the coast, where Bagno Vega 101 is located — this pressure is significantly lower. The streets are wider, tourist traffic is more contained, and the parking situation is far more manageable.

Bagno Vega 101 has a private car park reserved for guests, accessible from Via Arenile Demaniale. It is free for anyone who has booked a sun lounger or a table at the restaurant. This eliminates the problem entirely: you arrive, you park, and you're already at the beach.

In high season (July and August) spaces on the nearby streets fill up during the mid-morning hours. Arriving before 9:00 or after 17:00 solves the problem in most cases.

How to reach Zadina by car

From the north (from Bologna or A14 motorway exit Cesena Nord)

• Follow signs for Cesenatico / Zadina
• Take Via Cesenatico, then Via della Resistenza
• Reach Viale Romagna and head down towards the sea

From the south (from Rimini or A14 exit Rimini Sud)

• Follow the Adriatic State Road SS16 northbound
• Pass through Cesenatico centre (watch out for the evening ZTL)
• Continue towards Zadina — Bagno Vega 101 is signposted locally

Practical tips

• Avoid driving into Cesenatico centre on summer evenings: the ZTL is active and fines arrive reliably
• If you arrive on an August Saturday, consider parking at the first available spot and cycling or walking the rest — Zadina's cycle paths are comfortable and safe
• Bike rentals are available just a short walk from the beach club

Alternative: train + bike

Cesenatico railway station is served by regional trains from Bologna (about 1 hour), Rimini (20 minutes) and Forlì (30 minutes). From the station to Zadina is about 3 km — cycleable along the seafront cycle path in under 15 minutes. For those arriving by train who don't want to think about parking, it's the most relaxed option by far.
